Jumer’s Casino & Hotel has a long history intrinsic to Rock Island and all of Chicagoland.
It all started with D. James Jumer’s restaurant and hotel businesses in the 1960s. In 1988, Jumer constructed the Peoria Boatworks Complex that included a boat with a capacity of 400 visitors. Then, in 1991, riverboat casinos began operating in the Quad Cities, and a year after, the Rock IslandBoatworks, featuring Casino Rock Island and owned by D. James Jumer, was in business.
